For Further Action

Peter Gabriel wrote in his anthem to the fallen South African Civil Rights leader Steven Biko the following lines

You can blow out a candle
But you can't blow out a fire
Once the flames begin to catch
The wind will blow it higher
Oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
Yihla Moja, Yihla Moja
-The man is dead

And the eyes of the world are
watching now
watching now

I see a connection to these words and our present global situation. Environmental Ethics is not simply one study or branch of ethics among many.
Environmental Ethics is also political. World citizens are now at the tipping point. We can either make the necessary changes and strive for sustainable growth,
or we can do nothing and slip quietly into extinction. The eyes of the world are watching now. So, the following are links to local resources for doing something
about what we read.
